Fundraising For High School and College Teams #2

This fundraiser comes from Eric Herrick, the Head Boys Coach at Dawson County High School. Coach Herrick was formerly at North Forsyth High School and is one of the top high school coaches in the state of Georgia.

If you're a basketball coach and are interested in receiving basketball specific content, you're welcome to join a community of basketball coaches on my newsletter HERE. We'd love to have you.

A very simple fundraiser is a "Big Green Egg" raffle. This fundraiser has raised $16k for a middle school program and made $6k two years in a row for a high school basketball program. It's very simple.

The local hardware store would sell a Big Green Egg grill to athletic programs at cost. In basketball, once the team was chosen in late October, the team would start selling raffle tickets at home games and football games. Tickets were 1 for $5 or 3 for $10. This team would sell tickets for about a month. At the thanksgiving tournament each year the winner was selected between the semi-final and final game.

Easy and simple!
